Original promo poster, 30"x23.5".
Art by Claus Castenskiold, signed by Claus Castenskiold.

ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN - THE KILLING MOON, 1984

Original Korova/WEA promo poster, 21.5"x17 3/4".

The single became the band's second UK top 10 hit, but achieved perhaps even greater worldwide prominence through the soundtrack of the 2001 film 'Donnie Darko'. Scarce.

thumbnail link to original Elektra hanging display Queen News of the World

QUEEN - NEWS OF THE WORLD, 1977

Original Elektra hanging display, 9"x20".
Art by Frank Kelly Freas.

Amazing double-sided in-store hanging mobile. The artwork was a reworking by the acclaimed Science Fiction and NASA artist of his famous October 1953 Astounding Science Fiction cover. The album and lead single 'We Are The Champions' were hugely succesful.

Complete set of 8 colour stills in near mint condition, with superb studio scenes not found on the U.S. lobby cards. Click on thumbnail image for complete set.

thumbnail link to original 1972 Rolling Stones Winterland concert poster

THE ROLLING STONES - WINTERLAND BALLROOM CONCERTS, SAN FRANCISCO 1972

Original concert poster, c.22"x28".
Art by David Singer.

This original pre-concert poster was misprinted with the sharp white outline on the lower left side of the upper die. This was corrected on the second printing after the event and on all other later reprints. 'Tumblin' Dice' was released as a single prior to 'Exile On Main Street'.

This is the scarce genuine original, in superb condition, acquired from a person who worked for the band for ten years around this period.

thumbnail link to original 1979 A&M promo poster Supertramp Breakfast in America

SUPERTRAMP - BREAKFAST IN AMERICA, 1979

Original A&M promo poster, 36"x24".
Art direction and cover concept Mike Doud, design by Mick Heggarty, photography Aaron Rapoport.

Breakfast in America, with its memorable sleeve, was a huge international hit for the band. Mike Doud had been Peter Corriston's collaborator on the sleeve for Led Zeppelin's Physical Grafitti. Their design for the album won Heggarty and Doud a Grammy award.

thumbnail link to original 1971 Rolling Stones UK Tour poster

THE ROLLING STONES - UK TOUR, 1971

Original tour poster, 20"x30".
Art by John Pasche.

Appropriately known as the "Good-Bye Britain Tour", this was their first proper UK tour since 1966, launched just before their disastrous tax affairs forced them into the two year exile that was to result in the recording of 'Exile On Main Street'.
Beware reproductions.

thumbnail link to original 1975 Camel Snow Goose Royal Albert Hall concert poster

CAMEL, THE SNOW GOOSE, ROYAL ALBERT HALL 1975

Original concert poster, 30.5"x40.5".

Very scarce original poster from the 17th October concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
The album, based on Paul Gallico's classic short parable, and the show became the band's big breakthrough into commercial as well as critical success.

thumbnail link to original 1980 The Selecter Three Minute Hero 2 Tone Records promo poster

THE SELECTER -THREE MINUTE HERO, 1980

Original 2 Tone promo poster, 10"x17"
Design by David Storey and John Sims.

Like Morrissey for the Smiths, Jerry Dammers maintained an intense obsession to detail over the look and design of 2 Tone's output. David Storey is now a highly regarded fine artist. Original 2 Tone poster material is hard to find.

thumbnail link to original 1981 A&M promo poster The Human League Dare

THE HUMAN LEAGUE - DARE, 1981

Original A&M promo poster, 35"x23".
Design Ken Ansell, photography Brian Aris.

'Dare' was the first really successful mixing of electronic sounds with pure pop and was a huge, almost inescapable, hit in the UK and the US. It effectively marked the end of post-Punk experimentalism and waved ashore the on-coming tidal wave of 80's pop.

ABC - POISON ARROW, 1982

Original Neutron Records promo poster, 16.5"x23.5".

This original promo poster is signed by the original band members (almost certainly at the time).

thumbnail link to original 1975 ATCO promo poster Hawkwind Warrior on the Edge of Time, Barney Bubbles elements

HAWKWIND - WARRIOR ON THE EDGE OF TIME, 1975

Original ATCO promo poster, 20"x35".
Complete or partial art by Barney Bubbles.

Barney Bubbles, arguably the finest British designer in music of his generation, contributed elements to the inner sleeve artwork of the elaborately packaged album. The lp cover (at bottom) is not by Bubbles but the boat and sun design employed here along with the flower and leaf framing, not present on the lp, almost certainly are.

thumbnail link to original 1986 Victor Moscoso Siouxsie and the Banshees US tour poster, Hollywood Palladium

SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES - U.S. TOUR POSTER, HOLLYWOOD PALLADIUM, 1986

Original Cushway Litho poster, 22x30".
Art by Victor Moscoso.

West Coast underground comix and poster legend Victor Moscoso unusually had experienced serious academic training, studying art at Cooper Union, Yale and the San Francisco Art Institute, where he became an instructor. Moscoso's contrasting colors and vibrating edges was influenced by the Bauhaus's Josef Albers, his teacher at Yale.

thumbnail link to original 1980 Sire Records promo poster Talking Heads Remain in Light

TALKING HEADS, REMAIN IN LIGHT, 1980

Original Sire promo poster, 18"x36".
Design by Tibor Kalman.

Scarce original promo poster for Talking Heads' brilliant fourth album, arguably their best, revealing the full development of their earlier Afro-polyrhythmic experiments. Their last collaboration with Brian Eno, they re-emerged three years later with an increasingly commercial sound.

THE ROLLING STONES, 1978

Original Rolling Stones Records promo still, 10"x8".

This image is from a day-long video shoot in New York City to promote the 'Some Girls' album. This still specifically captures the band recording the video for 'Miss You'.
The photograph is possibly by Michael Putland.

Original Chrysalis promo poster, 23"x35".
Design by Barney Bubbles.

Very scarce original Chrysalis promo poster, advertising the band in general, but with 'Blondie, Their first album' picture bottom left and 'Plastic Letters, Their new album' bottom right.

The poster is very rare and was taken off the wall of the venue at the time.

thumbnail link to original 1985 EG 20x30 promo poster Brian Ferry Slave To Love

BRIAN FERRY - SLAVE TO LOVE, 1985

Original EG promo poster, 20"x30".

Original EG poster for the lead single from Bryan Ferry's most successful solo release.

thumbnail link to original 1985 EG 40x60 promo poster Brian Ferry Slave To Love

BRIAN FERRY - SLAVE TO LOVE, 1985

Original promo poster, 40"x60".
Sleeve Design by Antony Price, Bryan Ferry and Simon Puxley. Artwork by Cream.

Full-size promo poster, with a discrete (see 'Black And Blue' for the alternative approach) but unmistakeable Bondage aspect that elicited some murmurs of disapproval. The poster is an unmistakable tribute to the Hollywood film posters of the 1940's.

thumbnail link to original poster The Who Who Are You

THE WHO - WHO ARE YOU, 1978

Original MCA promo poster, 30"x20".
Photography by Terry O'Neill.

The original line-up's last album, with the classic title track (recalling a night out in Soho with The Sex Pistols' Paul Cook and Steve Jones). Terry O'Neil's shot of the band amidst their speaker stack was taken at Shepperton Studios. The words on Moon's chair proved eerily prescient.
